Here a mean I call microthrows. It is usefull to judge the properties of a gear without throwing it. Hier ein Mittel, das ich Mikro-Würfe nenne. Es ist nützlich, um die Eigenschaften eines Gerätes zu prüfen, ohne es zu werfen.

You grip the gear as usual. You open the hand as far as the gear is loose, but it just cannot slip out of the ring formed by the hand. Then shake your hand, throw the gear from one inside to the opposite inside. Then you shake the hand. This lets you sense properties of the device, without throwing the gear away. You may insert microthrows before a real throw, on the way of the hand from the beginning position to the delivery position. Eventually, you can rest at the delivery position (ready stance) for a moment. Make sure, that your arm, though stretched badly backward, feels comfortable, and do some more microthrows. Until you can feel the trajectory plus the rotations for the planned throw, and each muscle knows its roll. As a further mean for calibration before a throw to a target, a throw at zero yard distance may be inserted at the delivery position (Compare chapter "Technique - From Grip to Throw - Step Three ") .
